September 2023 - The Busawuli Water Project

The Busawuli Water Project was a major infrastructure project funded by Singing Gorilla Projects in the Wakiso District in Uganda. The project provides water services to over 300 families by sourcing water through a borehole, that was developed by Singing Gorilla Projects. The water services is managed by the local community who provide maintenance, security and on-going funding for the service.

April 2023 - Fireside chat II: Resident District Commissioner for Kisoro District, Uganda.

Chris Read, Founder of Singing Gorilla Projects, second interview of Shafiq Sekanda, the Resident District Commissioner of the Kisoro District in Uganda.

The Kisoro District borders DRC and Rwanda and gave an update on his work. As RDC, Shafiq is the president’s representative in the area and is responsible for security and the general well being of the district. Today, Shafiq has to deal with Congolese refugees, M23 rebels operating between Uganda and DRC, troublesome relations with Rwanda and the respective border crossings, Ebola, Covid, Typhoid, Malaria et al.
